How to Install Your House Sign

What You'll Need

• Steel Stand-Offs: these can be found in your package in a brown paper envelope.

• Brass Screws: these can be found in your package in a brown paper envelope.

• Wall Plugs: these can be found in your package in a brown paper envelope.

• Pen: or anything that'll help you dot the marks where you'll want to drill the holes.

• Electric Drill: we recommend using a 8mm masonry drill bit.

• Screwdriver: make sure it's a Phillips one.

• Spirit Level: this tool is optional, but best to be on the safe side.

CHOOSE THE LOCATION FOR YOUR SIGN

Steel stand-offs can be mounted on a variety of surfaces including brick or stone walls, wooden fences and gates, as well as both interior and exterior doors. After selecting an ideal location for your sign, proceed to the following step.

MARK OUT THE DRILL HOLES

Align your sign precisely where you wish to mount it on the surface. Then, using a pen, mark the exact center of each screw hole on the sign to indicate where the screws will be placed.

SETTING UP THE STAND-OFF BASES

Insert the wall plugs into the newly drilled holes, then unscrew the stand-offs caps from their bases. Slot the brass screws into the stand-off bases, align to the wall and screw into the wall plugs until they're securely in place.

ATTACH YOUR SIGN ONTO THE BASES

With your stand-off caps to hand, align your signs pre-drilled holes with the stand-off bases and screw the caps to secure the sign in place.

Once you've tightened all the caps into place, you're done. Now you can admire your new sign for many years to come!
